Human life is beautiful and unique, each day bringing about new challenges and opportunities for individuals to grow and move towards their dreams. With each new day, there is a chance to start all over with a clean slate and that chance begins the moment you wake up. What you do when you wake up can set the course for your entire day, so it is important to always start the day with positive thoughts. Morning meditation is one of the most powerful ways to get yourself into a good state, and it will help you manifest everything you need on that day.
Meditation Isn’t Always About the Structure
Throughout history, cultures from all around the world have developed their own unique methods of meditation. Though some aspects seem similar throughout these rituals, a close examination shows that they often are quite different. If you are just starting meditation for the first time, one of the best ways to get to know what works for you is to try out more than one form. Actually, the more forms of meditation you try out the more you will experience the different states they can help affect.
For some, this experimentation can lead to a modified form of meditation where the person combines different aspects of different practices to reach their desired state. The goal of meditation is to really clear your mind and clarify your thoughts; how you achieve this is not as important as the final result. For some, this involves sitting cross-legged and using ohms; for others it involves lying down with open eyes and simply visualizing that ideal state.
Using Your Own Incantations
If you do opt to meditate in more of a free-form method, one of the most powerful ways to enhance that meditation is to mix in some incantations. Whether these are your own, original incantations or you are borrowing them from someone in the personal development field, make sure that they align with the purpose of your meditation. Remember, meditation is meant to clear your mind to help you have more clarity of intention.
Once you establish this morning ritual, don’t stop it. Keep in mind that those first thoughts you have in a day can greatly affect how you face challenges. Those who don’t meditate in the morning often find that they get thrown off course the first instance something unexpected comes along. When you get in the habit of meditating every morning, you will find that no matter what challenges come your way you are well equipped to handle them.
